For Monday December 28th at 7:30 EST's event, this is a special sign up. Please comment below to one of the headers with a fear or issue your character is having, if you're intending to play.

Please give details for better personalized experiences! HOWEVER, long elaborate answers are not necessary! Just enough to give me an idea.

So! Upcoming Nyssa plots could very well involve characters getting messed with, in various ways (physical, psychological, harmless, status effects, etc). So, please let me know what you and aren't comfortable with, oocly, and to what extent Nyssa can mess with your characters, for my reference.

Please note that this is different from attacking Nyssa or doing anything that would provoke retaliation! If that happens, there will be IC consequences regardless.

Cats will NOT participate in regular mingle. They will have their own special mingle where the rules are explained to them!

The game is called KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE and when game starts, the Cats will be expected to introduce themselves (you can go wild here, as long as it's flashy).

Cats will be HOSTING each rounds, two Cats to a team/team combination. I will post the tentative assignments here but you guys are free to make requests or anti-requests. These are subject to change. As hosts/announcers, they are allowed to riff to each other and will be reading the questions and potential answers to the questions, and answering dramatically when people succeed or fail.

For each participating character, they will have three questions each. Everyone else will have a ten minute period in which to guess the answers. The first THREE answers will be accepted, and Cats have to cut them off after then. If the Cat hams up their hosting role correctly, they'll be able to offer hints to the teams later (ask a teammate, charades, etc). I'll let you know at the end of the hosting round how your characters did.

-If the Cat attempts to help the teams, hint at or outright state an answer, their words will be bleeped out as if they were swearing (feel free to have fun with this), and they'll take on a penalty, as will the team(s) they're hosting for. Please let me know if this happens, though I'll be keeping an eye on it myself.

AT THE END OF ALL THE ROUNDS, teams will (or intermission if it drags on too long) spin a Wheel of Torture for what the penalties entail, and Nyssa will offer the chance for a Cat to lessen or erase their penalties if they agree to deal out the penalties themselves. Other incentives will be provided, as well, specific to your Cat. If they take this option, they will be unable to reveal their motivations in any capacity until the game is over. (IE; you can't hint or tell teams you're doing this for their sake. This is only for the duration of the game, once it's over, it's fine)

Another option for Cats to lessen/erase penalties is if they make a special deal with Nyssa. If you take this option please be advised this involves become Nyssa's puppet or otherwise owing her a "favor" in future happenings, (Opening you up to Plot and which she will likely use to harm others) and it cannot be undone or retconned. Make sure you're prepared for the consequences of this if you should choose to take this option.

Cats are allowed to visit team rooms and interact with team characters in between rounds, however, they cannot offer hints or information or aide. Furthermore, they must treat the team members as if they're being cheezily interviewed, and can only interact with them in that capacity.

Aka: How are you feeling becomes -> AH, OUR GUEST OF HONOR! How are you feeling? Nervous? Accomplished? That was quite a round!"

I'll update things accordingly when R2 rolls around and add any tweaks.

All of this is IC knowledge EXCEPT that they'll be able to reveal their true motivations when the game is over and what will happen to them if they make a deal with Nyssa. (obviously they can guess it'll be Terrible)

Nyssa's upcoming trauma game (November 20th weekend) will be a gameshow styled game where characters will have to answer questions about other team characters correctly or face PENALTIES.

Tentative times for running are FRIDAY NOVEMBER 20TH, ~7:00 EST
SATURDAY NOVEMBER 21ST, ~5:00 EST.

Please list 20-25 little known or obscure facts about your characters, as well as the three teams you feel they are closest to, overall! Headcanon facts are cool! Try to include things that most people wouldn't know about them or they keep closer to the chest. IE: Bob has an embarrassing fear of the dark, or IE: Bob recently remembered having a personal fight with a friend. They can be anything from Tragic Past to odd trivia, but I just want it to be difficult for most people to guess.

There is also a thread to suggest penalties, of both physical and mental variety. These can vary from light to heavy but really, the more suggestions, the better.

Multiples are allowed, but note your other character/team in signups. CAT SIGNUPS ARE HERE.

SIGNUPS ARE CLOSED. If you are late or did not get 12 facts in on time, COMMENT TO THE LATE SIGN UP and you will still be able to play, just in a more limited fashion.

EDIT: Some clarifications!!

-If you absolutely cannot think of 20 facts, that's fine, especially for newer characters. I need an absolute minimum of 12 but really, as many as you can think of is fine, even if it doesn't hit 20. If you're having trouble on this front, come to me.

-New characters are fine! Not being quite established in Kyr is going to be part of the fun! I'd like a nice mix of characters who are connected and who aren't connected.

-The facts can be known to teammates, and to friends offteam! It just has to be stuff that wouldn't be general knowledge, of difficult to guess. Some characters are very forthcoming about themselves, so it's fine if their facts are easier to guess.

-There's no hard or fast rule about the facts, but little known to offteam CR is more what I'm aiming for. On team knowing facts is perfectly fine, and difficult to avoid, anyway, with memory roulette.

-You do not have to be available both Friday and Saturday. One or the other is fine! HOWEVER, please let me know in your signups if you're not going to be available one of the days, just for my scheduling ease.

Hello Cats! For the upcoming game on October 24th at 7:30 EST, we're going to need some information from you! Consider this your sign up.

Please reply to this post with your Cat's name (real name, if they remember it, and the following:)

- A paragraph or two (or three) about their home world and what they've remembered of it!

- Current emotional state!

- Any fears, insecurities, and/or weaknesses!

- Any secrets they don't want other Cats to find out!

- Something that makes them feel powerless!

- Three favourite and least favourite Cats and WHY! (Note: if your character doesn't have favourites or least favourites, just guess which ones they would work best with and worst with)

- Anything else you want to come up!

Answers don't necessarily have to be super detailed, so feel free to make them as long or short as you want. But to play in the game, you must fill out this form! If you have any questions or concerns about anything, just drop me a line.

NOTE: If you have trouble making the above time or think another time would be better for you, PLEASE note it in the comments and give me your availability for that week.

So, Nyssa's prices are pretty steep! Obviously there will be a lot of damage that just won't get fixed, even if y'all pool your crystals and pay for the biggest stuff together. Use this post to co-ordinate crystal sharing, healing quests, and other fix-it quests! Patrons will have the power to fix everything, from death to lost limbs to deaging and lost relationships. And, just this once, the mods have authorized a 'Heal first, quest afterwards' deal for patrons. This will result in a huge drain on the Echoes in question, but as long as the quests are fulfilled immediately afterwards, it's fine.

If you go for the 'heal first, quest after' deal, the quests must be undertaken on screen. No handwaving. Quests must also be difficult and significant in some way.

Regarding the Cats—fixing them can be done without paying or questing, but it might take a bit of time depending on IC factors.

You have 11pm EST on the 27th to submit your survey! Most questions are IC -- if they want to skip questions, they can.

ICly, characters will be given this survey just before the end of the game. OOCly, please feel free to link one or two threads, but this is by no means mandatory.

So! If you'd like to play in Nyssa's part of the trauma game, I'm going to need a little information:

TWO sins or crimes committed by your character! You are welcome to twist the truth to make mundane stuff sound terrible, and you are also welcome just to submit plain ol' mundane stuff! Attitudes, ideologies, secret thoughts, etc -- all of that counts, too.

Basically, if somebody could feasibly accuse your character of it, you're golden.

Cats are welcome to play! Their role for the main portion of the game will depend on turn-out: if an odd number of teams sign up, they'll play as a unit. Otherwise, they'll be fill-ins! ~~In the SECOND portion of the game, they will be offered the chance to lessen people's suffering by getting their hands dirty. This is ICly optional.~~ (The struck-through section is no longer applicable.)

You can fill out the survey even if you don't feel like playing, but you cannot play without filling out the survey. Survey submission will freeze this Sunday at 12am EST. There's a chance that I might not incorporate the bonus info, but I'm tossing it in there just in case.
